I may be able to shed some light on this topic... RIMS; There are several rims that are close to Subaru's 4X140. Most notibly the 4X144. However there are NO ATV rims that will directly bolt to our lugs. Things to consider are the ATV rims were designed for a #500 - #600 vehicle. A subie on a good day is 4 times that weight. Five times on a bad day fully loaded for wheelin. Rims may fail under this weight and they are not Highway rated or street legal. The Offset of an ATV rim may also get you in trouble... TIRES; As for the ATV tire size being smaller? that is not the case. It simply depends on what size you buy. They make them in a 28X12X12 Your stock tire will measure about 22.5". http://www.rockymountainatv.com/Product_Details.atv?pid=00017587 What I did; I'm running a 6ply tire for strenght because I'm over steping the recomended weight rating on the tire. I'm also running at close to 30psi and normally you'd run 3 - 5 psi. I like black, I think it gives vehicles a "Means Business" look to them. Lots of the Moab Rigs around here have that look to them. Sparkley rims don't look like they'ed "do the job" like a black rim.

I have to wonder if having no sway bar was a contributing factor? If it were to work I'd think you'd need a limiting strap on the opposite front wheel and a lifting strap on the brake area of the missing wheel. My fuel pump control unit is a Mitsubushi with a Subaru part number stamped on top of it.

Hey Rat, Welcome to the board. I don't have a Brat but I speculate that any Brat in that body style should be a candidate for that cargo cover. I think the years would be 82 - 89 or later outside the U.S. Do a search in the market place forum and see if there is any activity on something like that? Something's wrong here... I've got an '82 and it has the original CV's on the back not D/L's... The only D/L on that machine is from the tranny to the diff. I'm thinkin the manual is wrong Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

Can a Subie run on three wheels? Before you start sending in the motorcycle pics... What I'm getting at is, on an older subie, could you pull a flat tire off and run on two fronts and one rear? As I understood the theory of a throttle body spacer is it gave the air more time to atomize the gas and therefore give better combustion. I have often wondered the samethings about slipping a spacer under my carb. I'm waiting for some results before I monkey with it....but the possibility sure seems intruguing....
