SEM Color coat in tan worked well for me. Don't know what colors are available, got mine at a auto paint store.

Check that the radiator is grounded. Top bracket should be soldered to radiator, very common for the bracket to break away.

Have 85 BRAT at dealership to diagnose noise from rear, always run in 2WD. Conclusion that u-joints were bad. Question, does drive shaft turn when NOT in 4WD?

Could a bad bearing cause the noise?

85 BRAT. Starting out by backing up there is a grinding noise that sounds like worn brake shoes against the drum, checking those they are good. the cv joints are original (103K miles) and no visable sign of grease leakage. No driving problems not in 4WD although there is constant noise from the rear. Also any way to reduce the sound coming from the fuel pump mounted to the frame?

There is a slot under the crank arm. I formed a small "L" in coat hanger wire. Put flat bladed screwdriver on the plastic rig to give more clearance and hooked the spring clip out.

Pulled out headliner cleaned and put rest conversion covered with strip of fibreglass and bondo in the holes. Good luck. Always rust from inside out.
