  1. Only thing on the passenger side is the fuel rail and injectors. Nothing to do with filling the tank.
  2. Always nice to remove the half shaft from the hub in the yard to make sure they are not rusted in. It also give you a look at the seals. Not a for sure check but if you turn it an listen closely to the bearing you can get an idea if it's OK or BAD.
  3. You can hook up a multimeter to the connector. It's either OL - Open or 0.0 - Closed for ohms. Yes it does input to the ECU, slight impact on idle RPM. The two connectors are right on the back of the engine as they come up from the trans. Little 2 pin connector. Gray and Brown if my memory is correct. One for Reverse and the other Neutral.
  4. 1+ Autoparts Store. And get a reader, they are cheap.
  5. A few times I just walked into the dealer Parts Dept with the o-rings so they could match them up.
  6. Hope you had a Great Christmas in this strange 2020. Stay Healthy and Safe as we move into 2021! Happy Boxing Day.
  7. On replacement T-Belts I try to change them out at 80K. Cheap insurance. I've never seen a T-Belt fail. Most often the toothed idler gear goes first.
  8. Check the rear diff and make sure the half shafts are fully seated. I had more than one Subaru where the half shaft uncoupled from the rear diff, but was only about a 1/4" out. Felt like the clutch was slipping in the manual trans.
  9. On my 2000 Impreza OBS the connector was on the passenger side under the plastic trim down by the taillight.
  10. If you can unplug that harness and then see if the short is gone. Nice.
  11. Hope you have a lift. I've done many on my back, its not fun!
  12. No low oil sensor that would impact the start. Sounds more like a fuel delivery problem. Did you hear the pump run when you turned the key on? Might want to check fuel pressure as well. If my memory is correct, your fuel pump has a metal cap on it and sometimes the cap/oring fail. Search the USMB.
  13. Yes, lots of extra work to convert. Get a 95 2.2 the best and drop it in after changing the T-Belt, seals... It will run for years! Lots of info on the swaps here on the USMB.

  15. There is an 05 Outback and well as an 08 Impreza being parted here in COS. They are in the Craiglist USMB tab.
  16. Push Unlock 2x. No way to reprogram that I know of so a single push will unlock all.
  17. https://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/d/colorado-springs-subaru-outback-2009/7237375709.html 09 $4150 - 201K on the car 127K on engine. CO
  18. I have a few sets of Red Fuel Injectors if you want a set or two. $20 + shipping.
  19. Yes, for under $300 I could grab a good used 2.2 and do the T-belt all the seals and have it ready to go. If you know the histor of the 2.5 and it was not overheated then it may be worth doing the HG. Most of the Outback 2.2 swaps I did were on cars I purchased that way. Know way of knowing how long or how bad they were overheated. I didn't want to take a chance on the lower end bearings.
