  1. The bumper is only about 10" off the ground. In stock form it is a bit close to the ground. I see many bumper covers get ripped off of the EA82 wagons. Lift it and forget about it. Or leave it stock and on the street.
  2. Nope, wasn't Ed. He called me telling me someone beat him to it.
  3. To clarify, the 90-94 auto non turbo Loyales were 3.90. Not all EA82's as stated above.
  4. Exact numbers I don't have. I think someone posted numbers on the old EZ board. But the wagons were the highest number then coupes and lastly Brats.
  5. Welded front diffs are great for straight forward driving. As long as you don't mind having the turning radius of a bus then go for it. It will cause the front to push/pull you in turns. I once saw a 4X truck with with a welded diff and he couldn't turn for squat. This was off road on the trail. I wouldn't do it personally but to each his own.
  6. Sounds like the t-stat is stuck or sticking in the open position. Howdy Mike. Good to see you're still around.
  7. Empty seats are unknown at this time. It will be a first come first seat arrangement. Unless someone speaks up to offer/verify an empty seat. BTW, we will be leaving at 10:00AM from our meeting destination. No questions asked and no excuses.

Sorry, I never took any pics.

A LSD rear diff does not change the characteristics of the drivetrain. You have to change the trans for the AWD feel.
  10. I would highly warn against this. An old member of our club ran these when he first joined us. They bend easily. Are generally too narrow for a "good" fit. SOA also warns against using these off pavement. On a comical note, they did looked funny as heck wobbling down the road.
  11. What did you set the firing order to? 1234, 1432, 1324, 4321? Before you just start moving the thing forward and backward. Pull #1 plug and find TDC compression. Then check the disty/rotor location. Make adjustments from there.
  12. I had to use a double on the top and a single gen1 joint on the bottom to get the right angles on mine. Plus a pillow block type bearing to keep it aligned.
  13. Sorry. But I haven't ever seen a worn out trailing arm bushing on an EA82. I've seen some of your video's. A bent part is a strong possibility,
  14. www.ozified .com PK makes bolt in lift kits and will ship to your door. And if you want to go a little bigger you can contact; Mudrat Design & Fabrication I can build Anything Custom 541-206-2494 cell He is in Eugene.
  15. rear shocks adjusted up? Also check for rust in the rear or possibly bent parts. Especially if it is only one and not the other.

Nope, Tex is carbed in the wagon. His RX is turbo'd. Being that the turbo is extremely sensitive to heat up and such. It just isn't usually used. Most of the stuff we do includes mud somewhere. Get that into the radiator and you won't come back under your own power.

4.30 which is less than 1% off of my 4.37 front diff. I have been assured by Randy's ring and pinion that it will be fine. Could even run it on the road in 4 wheel drive for short distances.

Here they are!Shot from behind I installed new perches. Kept the Nissan mounting hardware and springs. Fabbed brake lines to match the Subaru system(two lines to the back). The e-brake lines are hung up out of the way for now.
  21. I have created the Subassuzu. Subaru+Nissan+Isuzu= SUBASSUZU What you ask? I have now installed a rear disc rear axle from a '90 Isuzu PU(Spacecab) The ratios aren't exact but close enough to work with my configuration. This worked out for many reasons. I ws able to discard the crappy Nissan rear drum brakes as well as the 2 1/2" wheelspacers from each side. Yep, 5" of wheel spacing to match the Sube. Having the flange changed in the morning and the driveline goes back in. Still have to get the shock mounts fabbed up but I knew the Nissan rear wasn't going to last and wanted to wait until a new one was installed. Pics soon!
  22. Thought I would bring this one back out. How have things changed in 9 months? Well, Mine was a rear solid axle(Nissan) running a Nissan transfer case and 31's. Just installed a '90 Isuzu rear axle with disc brakes, Oh yeah, no more drums for me!! Working on rear E-brakes and better travel up front.
  23. And a Mudrat!! and crew of 3 maybe!
  24. There should be enough support there this time. Winches and on-board welders should be able to fix anything on the trail. Gas station on the way in should remedy the gauge issue. Hope to see you guys there!
