My sister just bought a 2011 a few months ago with 28k on it. I was a little suspicious at first but after driving it, she fell in love. Just a couple of weeks later when I checked the oil it was almost 2qrts low. She drives a little over 400mi a week and thats a lot of oil to lose. The dealership said to keep a eye on it for 1200mi, but I was afraid of engine damage and added oil when it went below 2qrts. They took the car for 10days and put about 400mi on it. They wanted to continue the oil consumption test and gave the car back so she could drive it for another 10days. She brought it back, checked the oil and gave her another loaner until SoA got back to them. About a week later they called and told her they would be installing a new engine. More and more people are reporting the problem and SoA is finally doing something about it. If you have a vehicle with this issue, stay on the dealership and make them do the oil consumption test (More than 2qrts of oil in 1200mi) and then contact SoA.

Didnt take too many this year, was busy with my car and talking to folks. Yup, I survived Hurricane Laura. Wasnt too bad for me (and a few others) as we pitched our tents in some animal stalls.

Well, time for a update. Been busy for a couple of weeks, still need to button things up on recent upgrades. ACT Performance Street Clutch and lightened flywheel Upgraded front brake calipers to RS 2 pots then purchased bigger Stoptech drilled rotors. SS braided brake lines Should be ready for WCSS

According to my parts book that number will NOT fit a XT6. Fits everything else that you listed tho. You want a 23610 GA220, which fits a XT6

I own a 02 Foz 5spd, picked it up pretty cheap a few years ago after the owner put a pretty good divot in the front right corner. I fixed it up and Its my daily and shop truck, I dont treat it kindly. It has 204k now, the original engine is untouched. The HG weep, I know someday soon I'll prob have to replace them. Other than that, I have had zero issues, just standard maintenance issues.

You cant get a EA to sound like a EJ. You can come close but a DOHC EJ produces a distinct sound thats hard to duplicate

The biggest thing is to fill out the monthly report and send it in. This is how you get your Ambassador bucks.

Swap the header with a EA82T one, same with the down pipe. There was a TSB recall for the dealerships to retrofit the coolant lines. Almost all of the EA81T's got it done, I've only seen/had one that didnt.

Went and had a good time. 250 Subaru's showed up, a little short of the 371 needed to break the record. Another attempt will be made late summer, so stand by. This time it will be planned better. I'll try and get a few pics up soon.

Backfiring could also mean a timing issue. I would check the screw on the disty rotor to make sure its still there. Its happened to me before
