I have a guy that really wants to buy my RX but he does not think he will fit.

he sat in a xt and it was too tight. is the interior about the same as a RX?

 

I would like to find out what you guys think before telling him to come all the way to my house only to find out he wont fit.

 

any tall guys here?

i'm 6'2" and i like how i fit in any subaru i think theres more room in a rx over a xt and i'm 325lb so if that isn't an example for ya i'd don't know what would be

I'm 6'3/250# and have no problems fitting into my 86 GL wagon. Room to spare, actually.

6'2 1/2 i fit in my gl10 wagon just right, when i ride passenger the shifter hits my knee

 

i swapped in xt seats, it sits lower, more headroom, legroom under 'wheel

I'm 6'4" and I fit fine. Leg room isn't great but I enjoy my Subes and have adapted to it. Just put him in it and go for a drive. If he isn't comfortable in it after a drive he probably won't ever be.

I agree with the XT seat mod... I am about 6 feet tall and about 260 lbs. I can fit in the car either way, but I have room for a helmet for rallycross if I run the XT seats

I am 6'2 and I have an XT and GL, and I have fit in every subaru I have owned and then some....

 

just a matter of personal preference i guess....

i'm 5'5" and i fit fine. just cut him off at the shins and nickname him stumpy. and make sure it's an automatic

6'-3" 225# here, and I fit just fine in my BRATs.

Are all you dudes giants walking around here? I'm 6'0 but jeez! :cool: I'd hate to see a ricer receive a Scooby beatdown by a group of you guys. :-p

 

And to stay on topic, I fit in my Scoobies just fine.

I fit just fine, 5'-6", 120#, although I would like to raise the seat^!

my old GL wagon I'd hit the ceiling in occasionally, but the GL-10's sunroof allows for me to feel a little more headroom :>)

If you bend the knees or cut off the head he'll fit in the trunk just fine. That's what you meant, right?

Just to add some info I forgot to before.

 

My son is 6'7"+ he drives an '87 GL 3dr. He has to have the wheel all the way up and the seat all the way back and reclined some but he fits OK.

I'm 6'2" and have no issues sitting in old subarus. Iv'e sat in a GL wagon, hatch back, XT6, and a brat. None of which made me feel uncomfortable or like I didnt have enough room. I dont hit my head on anything, i have plenty of width and space between me and the dash. I dont even hit my knees on the steering wheel! Which is more then I can say for first gen legacies. I always had to lift the wheel to get out of that thing. Never have to do it in my EA82 wagon.

about that XT seat swap. I take it they are lower? never sat in a XT myself.

6'5" here and fit.. but damn if my knee doesn't wanna pump into the steering wheel when I push/release the clutch

I'm 6'5 and about 240#.. .

 

iIn my gl-10 I could use a little more space for the knees, I drive with the wheel up all the way, and if the car did not have a sunroof I would be hurting...

6'2" but scrawny as hell at 150 lbs. long rump roast legs like to hit my steering wheel from time to time but nothing major (92 loyale)

6'2 1/2" 300 LBS.

 

I fit in my car okay, I actually move the seat forward as close as I can, I dont like to be too far away from the wheel for some reason. My youger brother is 6'5" 180 LBS and he fits with little problem, except the knee in the wheel thing.

The XT seat has a height adjuster so the seat allows you to sit higher and further away from the pedals/wheel. Not a total solution but it helps.

I sit much lower (4"??) since I replaced the GL seat with a XT chair

i fit well in my gl wagon, but have been considering the xt seat swap for quite some time. i ned more room between my legs and the wheel

6' 2.5", 240 lbs. Seat all the way back, wheel up a ways, no fitment problems. Fold down the back seats of the wagons and sleep corner to corner even.

5'11" but I fit into my gen 1 wagon pretty easily:D Oh and some of the RX seats have the height adjuster and so do the GL-10s.....but are the XT seats with the height adjusters still lower?
