  1. not all, i have over 30 older GL wagons and such on our lot at my work, so if you need something shoot me a PM anytime. we are a subaru only wrecking yard, and i KNOW we have more then a few good 5sp d/r tranny's. problem is, most have really high milage, so trying to find one in good shape is key, thats why i wont sell one unless i test drive it first to see what it feels/sounds like.
  2. or just find a reputiable subaru shop, it should like they are gonna try to rape you. take it home, swap drive lines, fix shifter cable, fill tranny with fluid and you SHOULD be fine. all you need is to jack the car up and put it on stands, remove the 4 12mm nut/bolts that holds the drive shaft to the rear diff, remove the 2 14mm bolts the hold in the carrier bearing to the chassis and remove. replace in same steps with new driveline. replace shifter cable, could 12mm's and such, fill the tranny with ATF and your good to go. i have the shifter cable and driveshaft in stock at my work, if your intrested shoot me a PM and ill get it shipped out to you asap.
  3. +100 it dumped because the drive shaft came out, put in a new driveline, refill the tranny, and your good. also the tranny has NOTHING to do with the engine starting, thats another issue on its own.
  4. Skip is right, check out http://www.nasioc.com there is alot of BS on there so take everything with a grain of salt. but ive worked in performance shops for over 2 years, and have built scoobies for over 10years now, feel free to PM me any questions you might have.
  5. yes the 02/03 seats are height adjustable on the drivers side, and VERY COMFY!! i have them in my 96 Impreza outback sport and LOVE them. you can fit them into a loyale, but you need to modify the loyale brackets onto the WRX seats, i have done it and have 97 legacy outback front seats in my lifted 86 wagon w/ seat heaters.
  6. you reuse your stock air box, but put in a nice filter like a K&N, Perrin, STi, HKS, etc. the cold air/short ram intakes are worthless without a tune. so i recommend you wait and save your money so when you put on your intake have the engine retuned afterwards, otherwise you can make LESS power then before.
  7. thats the good year, non-interference engine, 22's run for ever. but with that history and what he told you i would walk away, but thats just me, there are plenty of scoobies out there.
  8. some are 194's, others are really small, swing by my shop and ill hook ya up with some for a few bucks. PM me for addy.
  9. relay is up over the fuse block on the drivers side kick pannel. if you are getting power to the blower motor then its the motor, i sell the hell out of the motors, most common thing to die.
  10. nope it wont work, you need one from a 95-99 legacy to fit yours, i have them in stock, if interested PM me.
  11. 97 outback fronts in my 86 wagon, height adjustable as well.
  12. if you coasted off to the side and shut it off you will be fine. when a auto tranny gets low on fluid it simply wont work, i say get a new drive line, i have one if you need it, refill the tranny and see what it does.
  13. find someone else with a subaru and borrow their spare, i would almost bet it will work, i do it all the time at work.
  14. i want that intake manifold and distributor, if anyone can get me those im willing to pay for parts, and your time as well as shipping of coarse.
  15. anything from 90-99 legacy as long as it has ABS or not, abd 93-99 impreza
  16. if the torque converter is not seated it wont go in, if the clutch is not properly alligned it will not mate all the way.
  17. mounts are narrower on a 81 compared to a EA82, i know this because im trying to fit monsteru's old rear bumper onto my EA82 wagon
  18. that sucks, same thing happened to me but on my EA82, so now it as well is getting a EJ22.
  19. me a few days back driving around in my wife's outback, ill have to get one of me tonight with my 70's stash
  20. got one off a hatch at work $125 for it, let me know. well just give us a call, 206-243-4665
  21. how far is reiter pit form seattle? i want to get out in my wagon, since i built it i have yet to see what it can really do, one small thing by my house but it takes less then 2 minutes to make it through. is there anything closer to the sea-tac, burien, kent, des moines, auburn area?
  22. sorry but i dont get it, what does it do?
  23. yes, but tires machines at the local stores will not be able to do so, the valley of the rims are not deep enough to grab with most tire machines.
  24. the alt will only put out max volts above 2K rpms, so bring it up to about 2200rpms and check it again, should show 14.4 if its good.
