  1. 05 Pearl Blue WRX I can't talk, I'm slobbering so bad Welcome, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  2. I won't park next to anyone! Even my 20 year old GL was parked in the north 40 all it's life, to avoid door dings. I'd rather walk than have door dings!!! Don't park next to anyone Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  3. I believe these guys have them...But shipping would kill you. http://www.scorpionsubaru.com/index.htm I think you'd be better off making one...or check with a local 4wd fabshop and they could make you one... Mudrat79 on the board here has made some. Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

Isn't there some grinding involved? I thought the 3.9's wouldn't fit exactly without some metal removed?
  5. Scott, Welcome, Tell us about your Soobies--surely you have more than one? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  6. LOL! If money were no object
  7. These are dominating the Rock Crawling Championships now. If your not driving a Moon Buggy your not going to win. No other designs even come close to what these can do. They defy gravity My only problem with the Moon Buggies, is that they are only one person rigs I can't use a one person rig. I've got to have something that the family or at least one passenger can ride along with. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester **I'll post a link to some UROC video clips and pics in the off the topic section.--Great Stuff!
  8. I've often thought about the same thing.... I have some radical ideas on how to do it but never attempted it yet. The basic premise being... If you could loosen up the rear you could leave the front alone and let the rear wheels flex for the front??? This would allow the weight (which is up front anyway) to stay on the ground during articulation, without messing with the front. With out giving up too much of my idea, here is a hint... ...if you tilt the diff you avoid some CV problems.... (treat the diff like a solid axle???) Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--may someday have radical rear end travel??? Some day 01 Forester--no travel.
  9. Some phones work out there some don't Nextel & Tmobile didn't work last time I was there. AT&T worked great even on the trails... My .02 Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  10. Welcome Chris! Subies rule! I've had one of mine for 22 years ...so far... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. I'm there in spirit Jared! Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  12. Loved the clip! I was worried you weren't going to make it. (but if you didn't you probably wouldn't have posted it) What software were you using to mess with the clip? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  13. Great pic! Black and white is a timeless choice Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  14. Not my cup of tea... I'd rather be up in the woods or down on the rocks. The styling seems a bit much for me.
  15. Now this is my kinda thread! Couple questions for Mikie, Where'd you get them Subaru ATV rims? Are you running a 6 ply tire? How long are your tires lasting? I'm running on custom rims with Dirt Devil 6 ply's. Up front I'm already noticing some wear? Of course I've only been on pavement so far... Great pics! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  16. ***Warning this may be too intense for younger viewers*** I have a hard time even looking at this horrible picture. The "Yellow Sub" at the end of the line... I used a sawzall and took the engine out the front Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--now with a new body! 01 Forester
  17. I removed all the glass from my hatch and I was amazed how much all that crap weighed! Doors are heavy, Hatchs are heavy, Glass is a good % of that weight! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--Lexan windshield! Lexan kick panels! 01 Forester
  18. Brad, There is an amazing amout of information on this site and in the twisted minds of it's members. Welcome to the board. Will a local auto parts store read the code for you? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  19. I cut the ********** out of my Hatch?
  20. I think Street legal is a relative term They say they have full street lighting but that doesn't mean street legal, your local DVM may think other wise? I never called on one but I'd bet they are five figures? $XX,XXX. A quad is $6,000 :-\ I'm into the Buggy $1,500. I'll never have one but it sure would be cool to have your own personal Rock Crawler? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester --Stinky the Rhino was easy, I'll pm you--
  21. Check this out... http://www.tomcar.com/Adventurer_features.html They run on Subaru engines I was comparing the specks to my Rhino and I'm within 2" (length width height) and #8 per factory specks Looks cool as heck! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  22. I have one of those HF #2000 winches on the back of the Buggy, works great. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21/MVC_170F The base mounting plate on the HF winch is 5-1/2'' L x 4-1/8'' W. It uses 4 bolts. Pretty easy to mount or make a mount for. Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  23. Those little Sami engines seem to do ok. Even competition rock crawlers have the stock 1300's. I wouldn't call them powerful but when geared properly they seem to go where you point them Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

I don't think the actual lift blocks will take that long to install but... the little things are what will take the time.... The time it takes is probably a function of how much time per day you can contribute to it and how good you are at it. Frozen and rusted bolts may give you some unforseen greef... Good luck, Glenn
