  1. I broke my plate:mad: Becarefull Take your time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!
  2. I being sued for $100,000.00 almost 5 year after I bumped someone. It bent their tail pipe when it hit my bumper! That was the damage! The statue of limitations is 5 years and two weeks before the deadline I get served! Hummm! Someone wants money?
  3. The Forester is made out of the Impreza platform. Other than the motor they should be similar in the drive train area. It's a body style / motor choice? The Forester is more sport utility oriented than the impreza. Good Luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  4. Pics are great! I wish I lived near dirt! I have to drive on my neighbors lawn to go wheeling:rolleyes: The videos won't work for me:mad: Iwannagowheelin Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  5. When I adjusted mine down:eek: , they had been up all their life. They were frozen in place. I couldn't have done it if they were not mounted on the car. I had to pull/push hard! I moved them back and forth probably 10 times before resetting my wrench and re-lubing. It was hard and took a lot of time! I had an advantage, I didn't have my fenders on when I did this task. My vote is put them on the car and use the car as a vice. Take your time and go slow! Good luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer lowered struts and still 12" of clearance down the center! 01 Forester, wishing it had adjusable struts.......
  6. Mudrat79! http://www.oregonoffroadsubaruclub.org/index.html John is the only one I know of that has actually lifted the newer models. Good luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  7. Mudrat, I'm with you in Spirit............. But 6:30 a.m. is still a little early even if I'm not really there:rolleyes: Take some pics, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---BUILD YOURS 01 Forester
  8. Moosens, Did your shelf contain that #$%* FPCU? Lemme no Glenn 82 SubaruHummer with the wrong FPCU 01 Forester with the correct FPCU
  9. Nick, Easy to install! They give you a template so its idiot proof. I didn't have perfectly good sheet metal so I didn't mind drilling......Ok I did a little. You use touch up paint to seal the holes. Got to thank richierich for the heads up on the closeout on spoilers, saved me bigtime! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester, wood dash, fender flares, spoiler...........what next........
  10. Long Live Roxanne! She still has a couple hundred thou left........ Good Job! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. Sorry about that..........I hit the wrong button! Didn't mean to keep you all in suspense when I was just Pimpin my Spoiler........hiding a dent.
  12. Magic! http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21/PIC74 It would have cost $600 to fix the dent caused by the tree falling on my Subie. This was $138.00 and hides it perfectly. My deductable was $500.00. Good solution to mother natures wrath. And besides that it looks Cool! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer used to have spoiler. 01 Forester, now with spoiler! FYI, If you don't remember my Forester was the under a tree that collapesed due to snow. Here are some pics from that tragic event. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21/cap_122903_085845_6_1
  13. The brochure section of the board probably has your answer. http://usmb.net/gallery/album15 The difference is generally a trim package and the motor size. Back in those days Subaru came in two forms. GL generally meant all the options with the 1800 motor. DL generally meant basic options with the 1600 motor. Anyone else...
  14. Sko, Don't keep us in suspense..............................Are you engaged?
  15. The moon roof is huge! Its so big they call it "panoramic" and say " it invites stargazing at every stoplight". Discounting the sales pitch, it does look huge from the pics. I'm not sure what other models its on. The brochure I'm looking at is for the Outbacks. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester 05 Outback Ya right!
  16. The link is a good one the picture is exactly what is out there, NOTHING! Nothing but flat straight track:D The fastest we have been is 32mph, the tracks are in bad shape. Leaving the tracks at 30 mph could be a problem for the vehicle and the undercarrage. We orignally ran steel rims but we found them to be too weak. They last about 20 minutes until you wear out the edge and make trim rings out of them. We found some speeder wheels and had them machined from 8 lug to six with the correct offset. This is the type wheel we used. http://www.narcoa.org/ We now have four wheels so we can run rears and not worry so much about falling off:rolleyes: My point was if a standard six lug can be adapeted to a Subaru then I only need two more holes drilled to make the RR wheels subie compatible.
  17. Coolbeans, Welcome to the board! What kinda Subaru do you have?............Oh, yes and...........How many! Great board here and great people! They know a lot and are a great resource! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  18. I bathed mine in penetrating oil for a week before I tried to adjust them. When I did they were still way stiff! I moved them a little forward and a little back each time adding more oil. Took time but nothing broke:D Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  19. We have "Spy pics" on the 2005s now we have the, top secret, 2005 Outback Brochure information in custody! Looking through it..........it makes me wanna buy one! ............it's loaded with useless infomation! Too bad I'll never have one...... Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester Any Questions for the Brochure?
  20. I used RTV in a diff and used it within an hour w/o any problems. For what its worth, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  21. It's not bad looking, I'd give it a thumbs up! I like the instrument cluster. Does anyone know the performance specks? That would tell the tale of fly by wire being slower....... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  22. I don't want to brag...........but I have holes in my car too! I just wish they weren't in my floor! Can I move them to my hood? Humm.........I guess I could put a scoop in my floor..........? Looking good Calebz!
  23. Its not a questions of, if you should pick it up or not. Seems as though price is the only real question? Buy that Subaru! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  24. I have always found the basic tune up can't be beat for making your old Subie run better. It's never anything serious, just the basics and it always makes it run better! I have always maintained a cap and rotor will cure anything on my old Subie! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
