EA81T hesitation, code 11
Code 11 is Ignition Pulse, so it could be the pick up. I had one on a EA81T wagon die on me before, so its entirely possible.

87 82T running rough ideas please
When was the last time you did the t-belts? Almost sounds like one side is off. And/or something is dumping excess fuel and its getting into the turbo.

charging a optima redtop
Parallel is what I meant (fever from pneumonia fogs mind). Brent, hook it up like you have in your diagram. I used jumper cables doing mine, worked fine.

New Guy From the Spokane Area
Welcome to USMB. We take Subaru to another level here I think the Canadian version had a EA71, but I'm not 100% sure of that. All the 81's and up that I've seen have been EA81 tho. There are lots of upgrades you can do to it, rear disc brakes, Weber carb, 5spd swap....the list goes on. If you cant find info doing a search, just ask. For examples of modified Hatches, do a user name search of Pooparu in the Retrofit forum and mine in Offroad.

charging a optima redtop
Go ahead and throw away a perfectly good battery folks. Mine is almost 2yrs old and I restored it. Please read the following, its from Optimas own site. http://www.optimabatteries.com/product_support/faqs.php By using another battery in parallel, it fools the charger into thinking its charging a battery thats got 10.5v. I also bolded a few things to point out some misconceptions. More useful info from Batteries Are Us. http://www.batteriesareus.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=2 I'll gladly take any redtops that you want to toss away.

charging a optima redtop
The trick to recharging a redtop is to use another battery with it. Put the charger on a standard wetcell, then jumper cables to the redtop. Charge overnight and it should be like new. I used this technique with the redtop in my Brat and I can let it sit for days without draining.

ideal rpm on highway ?
Comparing apples to oranges there with the 6cyl. This a 4 cyl and will run at higher rpm's. My Brat has a 5spd in it and runs at 2800 doing 65mph. My RX runs at 3100 at the same speed.

Steering Wheel Spline Count/Size
I dont think a EA82 will work as they flare out at the base. Not sure about the spline count.

An "I wanna fast soob" thread
Turbone replied to SubaruAlliance's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI would go with the 2.5, that way you can keep it OBDII. Your also going to need a turbo crossmember I believe.

What kind of engine do I have?
Dont know if this had trailer brakes or not, I never talked to the guy About 4-5yrs ago I used my 86 T-Wagon to move. I hauled all kinds of stuff in a 4x8 trailer, plus the back of the wagon. Only went about 4mi each way, but never had a problem (no pics).

Subaru Leone EA82T running lean
A tune-up would help rule out some of your problems. I would also change the fuel filter, this should be done at least once a year. The condition of the sparkplugs will show if you are running lean also. If the electrodes look like they are cooked, its been running lean. http://www.sparkplugs.com/sparkplug411.asp?kw=Detonation&mfid=0 Make sure you time it when the tune-up is done.

Whats the value of my Gl10 Wagon?
Do yourself a BIG favor and replace the alternator with a NEW one, not refurbished. I say this because of the digidash in your car. Any spike or bad fluctuation in voltage will fry the regulator in the dash and render it useless. Finding another one that works is impossible and even repairing the original is extremely difficult. Your car is worth what the market will bear. If its sold on the east coast, it will go for more as there arent to many in that good of shape there.

EA Transmission
I swapped a EJ22T into my RX. The original trans had over 200K on it and was abused by the previous owner (me). It lasted 3 weeks after the swap. I had another RX trans that had lower miles and put it in. So far I've had no problems, but I dont do any hard launches either. I'm running a TD04 turbo with the boost at 10lbs, sometimes more. Look for my EJ swap in this forum.

ea82 turbo power; is it possible???
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=88249&highlight=TD04 Listen, if you want to keep it original, dont mod it. If you have any questions you cant find the answers too searching, send me a PM. WJM is also a good source of info for the EA82T, GD is not and is extremely biased, just to name a few things
