Projector lenses into GL/Loyale buckets
I just started researching glass polishing. Considering you need to remove a lot of material at first, all the flutes and ribs in a 3-4in diameter, its a lengthy process. You should be able to get 3M products in Oz or at least get them shipped from a lot of suppliers in the US.

Separating EA82 headlamp asembly
You can pull the unit out after 10min to see if they will separate, but I did crack one not letting it cook long enough. Thanks for showing us how brilliant you are.

86 RX EJ swop its time
Most flywheels get redrilled on a mill. Check with Scott (SJR) and Gloyale, they might be able to help out. A EJ clutch disc can be used along with the pressure plate from a XT6, it will help a little.

Projector lenses into GL/Loyale buckets
I use a pad attachment from Griots for polishing glass. It hooks up to drills etc. You can also buy the pads from them, but they arent cheap. I start with 3M 60grit sanding discs and work my way up to finer grit, Then I use a variety of compounds, ranging from rubbing compound to glass polishing compound also from Griots. When you first start grinding the glass down you MUST wear a mask. Breathing in glass dust will cause irreparable damage to your lungs. Polishing wont create dust as you add water to the compound while working. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/3+inch+glass+polish+pads.do?sortby=ourPicks&page=2 http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/glass+polish+8+ounces.do?sortby=ourPicks Gloyale, the EA82 DL has the quad headlight setup, I think thats what Shorty might have been talking about.

Separating EA82 headlamp asembly
Have either of you done this before? I had no problem with mine after they sat in a hot oven for 20min. And I did this to several headlight units. The buckets are METAL and it takes a temp of 900+deg to melt glass.

Might be a good idea to keep questionable practices to yourself, rather than have another member give you grief over it.

Ea82t
These turbo's are basically not rebuildable. More like disposable. Luckily theres plenty of them still around on dead EA82T engines. And finding Gen 3 heads will not be easy, those are pretty rare.

Any way to Disable DRL
Turbone replied to shortlid's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNot sure where your box is located on that model, but try looking between the passenger side shock tower and firewall. If you see a silver rectangular box that says "CAUTION-HOT", there will be a connector plug to it. All you need to do is disconnect this to disable the DRL. If its not there it will be inside the car behind the glove box. You will prob need to remove the glove box to get to it. Same thing applies tho, just unplug it.

Braided brake lines
Theres a few on line specialty shops out there, but you may pay a premium price. I would try ebay.
