  1. Ah, right. I was using the final gear ratios on the tranny & t-case. Thanks Mick......I preferred my first ratio tho.
  2. This is the forum you want. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=1&f=87
  3. Hmm? Get a hold of me. Normally, I remove hoods. But these are not light and theres just enough room to get it out. I might take it off to get the engine/tranny back in, as I'm thinking of doing it in one shot.
  4. I tell ya, pulling a EG33 is like passing a kidney stone I still need to pull the tranny and get the other engine/tranny prepped. New belts/tensioners, etc. Then hopefully my sale doesnt fall thru this month :-\ If I ever mention wanting another SVX project, I want anyone close by to hit me upside the head
  5. You cant do a t-case without lifting, there just isnt enough room. What do you break the most: Axles What is your final Crawl Ratio: Nissan t-case @ 4.37 x 3.9 Tranny x 4.11 Diffs = 70:1 (I think) EA81 or EA82: EA81 What size tires: 30x11.50x15 Amount of lift: Aprrox 8in Locked/open/LSD: Locked
  6. Posting in the Wanted Forum for rear disc's or drums might get better results.
  7. Uhhh, guess you havent camped out much? Heat some water on the camp stove and use a washcloth. Its only a couple days.
  8. That little hose can be removed without lifting the intake. It takes a pair of longnosed pliers tho, preferably with a angle. The hose only has a spring clamp on the end under the intake. The other end is easy. The turbo gets cooled from the rad, true. But the line comes from the water inlet on the thermostat housing.
  9. This is after I got my metal canopy. This is what it looked like before I got it. And it still lokks like that underneath
  10. NGK Iridium's in my RX and regular NGK's in the rest. Have had no issues with any of them.
  11. It depends. After doing some measuring of the wheels in question and a set of EA82 alloys (Yes, I have a pair of them), there is a 1in difference of the inside diameter. The wheel offset is totally different also, altho I dont know if this would make a difference or not. Offset for the old alloys is 3.5in and the EA82 alloy is 5.25in. So, depending on how you feel grinding a 1/2in off your calipers will decide whether you want the wheels bad enough. Not many have done it, but I havent done a search about it either.
  12. Nope, they will not clear the front brake calipers.
  13. Its possible the rear brakes might interchange, I'm not 100% sure on that tho. Also, the rear axles might work in a pinch. They will be a little shorter than the Loyale.
  14. I bet Delta Cam could make you a set of these. You have all the specs for it, just give them a email and see what they say. jonneyblaze69 @ aol . com
  15. Well for one thing, DL's dont come with a turbo. I know you have looked in your engine bay, does his look like yours? :-p With a base model XT, 2wd 5spd, he better get over 30+MPG.
  16. If you find one in the wrecking yard, I would cut the wires. It will be much easier to work on at home. Pretty sure you need to come in from open end and use a small jewelers screwdriver if you have one. Once you figure out where the catch is, it goes faster.
  17. I suggest finding one in a wrecking yard and replace the broken one. Its not that hard to remove the pins, just time consuming.
  18. The motor bump trick is pretty old and is mentioned quite frequently here. Just need to make sure you have it on the correct side.
  19. The RX in the 2nd pic is from Costa Rica. And was recently sold (last year). The PO and current owner have it listed on Car Domain.....twice :-\ PO - http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2391065 New owner - http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3122951
  20. In my research all I could find with the swap is that they were all turbo EJ's. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewforum.php?f=7 And never never ever mistake a EA for a EJ again
  21. EA81 rear window. She has a leak and there are others looking for the gasket also.
