i took a j bolt from a battery tie-down and used a vise to squish the hook until i could force it through the hole. i then threaded two nuts and a washer in a sandwich at the other end. clamp vise grips up there and smack with a hammeer. start out tapping and increase kinetic transfer until wrist pin comes out. it wasnt easy, and i couldnt re use the j bolt but ive made a few of these and pulled a bunch of pistons. i now strap my battery in with a ratcheting tie down:D

there are other cars out there. find someone who really cares about the car theyre selling, kinda like finding your dog a good home. and take dough with ya, just in case everything is legit

youre not gonna hurt it by driving in 4wd unless you get a drifty with it. ive got a bum axle on my loyale and havent had time or parts in almost a month. i drive 3-500 miles a week

Update: having not received an answer to my previous query i ventured forth on my own. answer: no the alt from a vg30de will not work. upon further noodling ive now seen that GD in fact said "sohc", the DE is DOHC.......
