A good Magnaflow or Flowmaster would be better for a EA engine. -

Those "guys" are trying to get business in a bad economy :-\ But they dont care about some old ladies bank account The leak is probably coming from the crank seal and leaking onto the up-pipe, which runs right under the front of the engine. For the cost of the seal and labor, it should cost less than $100 to fix this. Sure wish she was closer, I would probably do it for free.

1987 subaru rx aftermarket performance parts
Turbone replied to BrandonZL1's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Granted, I've been lucky in sourcing a lot of my parts. But I dont believe its going to cost someone close to $12k to make it worthy of WRX capabilities. You never went that far with any EA82 you owned, so I hope you dont consider yourself a expert on this. Also, a stock WRX is capable of far more potential if you spend the money to upgrade. A stock WRX is nothing special. -
Continued horrible luck with EA82T

A redhot turbo doesnt mean it was running lean, it was running rich. It was dumping raw fuel into and it was cooking off in the turbo. Mine did the same thing when my rotor screw fell out and the timing went nuts. So if you say your having injector problems, it could be dumping to much fuel into the system. -
Welcome to the USMB. GL finding your Hatch, theres some for sale occasionally around here. And I have lots of fun in my Hatch.
