  1. Ok good to know. I have the opportunity to buy a car with this, and was hoping to combine my dual range, and gain the fulltime 4wd with diff lock. But I guess it's not possible. Thank you
  2. If I have an 88 5spd turbo full time 4wd diff lock tranny, is it possible to swap the tail shaft section over onto a regular 5 spd dual range and then have a dual range with diff lock and full time 4wd? I know I have read stuff about this before, but I couldn't find the answer when I searched. And please forgive my ignorance! I haven't worked with the turbo transmissions at all! Thank you!
  3. I've got a 1/2" drive Milwaukee 18v cordless impact gun. Rated at 475 lb ft, and it's awesome. It's not bulky, and can remove lug nuts, axle nuts, strut bolts (as long as they aren't rusted on so bad you have to use a 3' extension on a breaker bar)
  4. The rotor will not fit of over the hub. You have to remove the axle nut, then the hub/rotor assembly. Remove the 4 hub/rotor bolts, and then do the reverse to assemble.
  5. Good to see it coming together!!!
  6. They make saggy butt spacers you put on top of the rear struts before putting them in. You can get them paranoidfabrications.com I actually have a set here. They go for about $25 shipped.
  7. I'm running BC coilovers. And to my surprise, it rides quite well! I have 2 other lifted Subarus, so I figured I might as well have one lowered!
  8. I have run 10w40 in all my EA cars year round. Always have, and for the exact reason you said, it helps reduce leaks. The EA82's leak oil, pretty much no matter what you do lol. It gets cold here in the winter, and I've never had issues running the thicker stuff, even well below freezing. But that's just my experience.
  9. I ran 14" doughnuts on a couple of my wheeler cars with no issue. I did bend one, but it was an extremely hard hit, and bent the radius rod too. They balanced good, and held up fine.
  10. I actually did the first step in this a few years ago. I flipped the lower spring perch, and then welded an old prop rod around to hold the spring to add just a little extra. But we didn't have any old perches laying around to do like you did.
  11. Yeah that's for the newer ones. Seems the 05 Legacy GT's were the biggest victim of this issue for some reason.
  12. You just swap the entire rear knuckles with brakes and ebrake cable and abs cable attached.
  13. That ebay link says $114 quantity 4. So it seems that's the price for 4 tires.
  14. Rust, any chance at all of selling that front bumper on the wagon you got from Maine?
  15. Whose red lifted EJ swapped EA82 wagon in the beginning? That thing is immaculate!
  16. I still don't get the prices of clutch jobs. The shops I go to, which are both Subaru specialists, do a clutch job for $200 labor. And parts are usually around $200. But good to hear they guarantee their work.
  17. Attach the lift block to the strut, then bolt the top in, then work the bottom of the strut into the knuckle. Might need a hand to work it in, but it'll go.
  18. Interesting. I don't have rear speakers now, but I have in other Loyales hooked up the same way and never had an issue. But I did however run dedicated front speaker wires to the doors, instead of using the factory front speaker wires. Could this be why I didn't have issues?
  19. Yes, you have to screw the caliper piston in, not press it in like most. They have a tool for the job, but you can also just use the nose end of pliers as well.
